A set of criteria for evaluating learning, composed of measures showing the evaluation standard and descriptions of characteristics when the measures at each level have been fulfilled. An explanation of each measure is given in a descriptive format so that a judgment can be made as to whether that measure has been fulfilled according to the kind of educational content implemented. That is why rubrics are used when evaluating qualitative items, such as in performance evaluations, which are difficult to express quantitatively.
