Multiple degree programs are structured to enable students to gain two or more academic degrees by completing an education program, using the credit transfer system, offered by domestic/overseas universities. The category includes "double degree programs" and "dual degree programs." Generally, in a double degree program multiple academic degrees are awarded based on curriculum completion requirements jointly established by several educational institutions. In contrast, in a dual degree program, multiple academic degrees are awarded based on each educational institution's own individual requirements for curriculum completion. Dual degrees are sometimes awarded by a single institution.
